apartment rental for a week in nyc

i'm going to be in new york this september for a week for the us open. i'm thinking about renting an apartment for a week instead of staying in a hotel. does anyone have a site they would recommend for apartment rentals?

does mark david do short term rentals? i wouldn't go there b/c you're going to have to pay them. i used them once when i was looking for a new apt in nyc, not much help. i still get email updates for open apts from them.

as for weekly rental, might check craigslist. my neighbor used to rent her place during holidays when she was going to be gone more than 3 days and always used CL
