Apartment in SW Austin?

[Grasshopper]

Mrs. Grasshopper and I are moving to Austin!
We're driving down today (Friday) and have to find something tomorrow... no other way to do it.

Any apartments to look at or avoid in the SW Austin area? ~ SW Parkway/Bee Caves...

I read Apartment ratings, but everything is so negative...

Help! Got 3 hours to figure this out.

the preserve off of sw parkway is pretty nice. had a couple friends live there. really any of the apartment complexes off sw parkway seem to be pretty nice.

There are several apartments in Mopac, south of 290, on both sides of the road. They are all pretty new.

We lived at the Stoneleigh at Davis Lane and MoPac. It was pretty nice, we had an overwhelming amount of crickets and roly-poly (pillbugs) in our place all the time in the summer. Our utility bills were dirt cheap, but the management people sucked. I wouldn't recommend it. Also, if you didn't leave by 7 AM, it was at least 45 minutes to UT.

I'm not real familiar with that area, but it is generally in the middle of where I'll be working and Mrs. Hopper will be. Hopefully we can find something this Saturday. Actually, we have to find something saturday!

I agree with the statements of them all being pretty nice. I know of two people who lived in two different complexes and they were real nice. Also pretty convenient. Good luck. I am gonna move this now since there is not the rush for today.

We're leaving for Austin in one hour and won't have access to Hornfans, so yes, we are feeling pretty rushed!

we moved to SW Parkway at the Preserve last october and love it here. we were at the riata before and the rent is slightly better here but we love the layout of the apt vs what we had before. plus the area is gorgeous. and closer to my work (south) and downtown (my wife's work).
