Thoughts: Good to see the good guys back in at #22. Nice to see SMU still ranked. Navy deservedly gets in. SMU vs. Navy will be a good match up that should determine who stays in the rankings and who doesn't. OSU makes an appearance. Indiana--give me a break, they don't belong, throw those bums out of the Top 25. Baylor will soon fall, but you can't say they don't deserve it for now at least. Glad to see Minnesota up to #7 after defeating the vile Penn St. LSU and aOSU are indeed the best two teams on the field thus far, so they're ranked correctly at the top. I'd downgrade Florida a bit, and upgrade Wisconsin a bit. I'm still not sold on Georgia.

As good as aOSU is this year, and they're very good, they've got a tough 3 game stretch starting 11/23. Penn St. followed by Michigan followed by the Big 10 title game (Minnesota or Wisconsin). There's certainly no guarantee they'll make it through that undefeated, so there may be another opening in the 4 team playoff.

Clemson has looked weaker than the other top 4 teams, but they just keep nailing down victories.

Agreed - but (a) they can only play the schedule they're given and (b) they're the defending National Champ. It will be nearly impossible to leave them out if they go undefeated.

Meatchicken is still playing football?

Why? They battled back from way down to lose by less than a TD to the #1 team. Whom in the next 20 could stay on the field with them?
Oregon, and Georgia.
Better wins, played real teams OOC, as opposed to avoiding any, and all competition.
Both teams could play with, and beat Alabama.
Both teams have as many NFL players on their roster as Alabama

Don't know who y'all are watching, but I've seen every game since Herman arrived. We lack the fundamentals and discipline to play with the top teams. Throw in the locker room drama, and we ain't top 10 much less top four.

I will admit that it appeared multiple problems on display in Tarrant County were greatly improved Saturday afternoon. Consistency,\ and fundamentals will improve performance significantly

Yeah. I should have said before the wheels started coming off... Saturday was at least a small improvement though.

Horns are struggling for top 25 crumbs...

I admit, I've become a bit of a fan of the Golden Gophers and their success this season. Hope they win out.

These same players were a dropped Ingram TD pass/3rd and 18 away from beating LSU. This team is very very close, and we have Herman to thank for it.

The team that played Kansas; the team that traveled to TCU, the team that played K-State are far cry from the team that played LSU.

To play with Alabama. Ohio State, Clemson, Herman would have to build him an orchard and plant trees to grow fast LBs and CBs.

The last time I saw LB play this poor from a Texas team was 1986 when we went to Lubbock with only one healthy LB, and he was a walkon

LSU has very good coordinators, and position coaches. Ed is more of the CEO, figurehead, and recruiter. Think a Mack Brown with poor enunciation skills.
The difference between LSU and Texas. HC, while thin skinned and a bit full of himself, is actually reaching par with any Power 5 HC in the country (not there yet but close). His coordinators on the other hand, are barely average with both not able to scheme to the strengths of their players. However both seem to be upper level recruiters.
