We're only on this poll because our coach is GG. We are not performing like a top 25 team.
 
I'd say it speaks more to the medicrity that exists and operates under the guise of parity once you get past UConn, Stanford and the other perennial top-five schools.

And when nobody stands out above the others, votes come back to reputation even if built many years earlier (recall the football polls over the past few years). While there is certainly more airing of WBB, the reality is that you have to scrounge to find good information about squads in the lesser-known conferences.

Let's face it...with a 1-3 conference start, can ANYONE *REALLY* jusify Baylor at 14th in the poll? It makes one wonder just what exactly the voters are looking at...because it sure as s*it isn't performance THIS year.
 
That is funny. I saw a very similar post on the Baylor board about Texas being ranked only because of Coach G's reputation in the game.
 
We've lost to ranked teams and we have beaten ranked teams. So either all of the rankings are worthless or we belong on this list. You can't have it both ways.
