Anyone work for Continental or United ? ?

I'm trying to figure out what to do with frequent flyer miles/AMEX miles etc before year end. Looking for suggestions. Do I transfer all Continental miles to United? If so, will I maintain my elite status? These types of questions. Please help if you can. Gracias.

I do, but I don't know. They'll merge them somehow, and any status would carry over would be my guess, but, I've never earned a mile with 'em so I know very little about the program.

I'm a GS/1K on United and now a Presidential Platinum on CO. You can easily transfer miles between accounts, as well as match your elite status over to United in your case.

I received an email this week announcing you have until 9/30 to convert Amex's Membership Reward points into OnePass miles. They also are going to fold OnePass accounts into Milage Plus accounts (i.e., United's legacy program). I think this consolidation will happen late this year or early next year.
