I dont think that stuff they were saying was nasty or even directed at Bill Maher for that matter. Looks like it was more directed toward the network itself

I don't like Maher for the same reason I don't like quite a few of my co-workers...they're ********. Malcontent, know-it-all, snide ********. I agree with some of those co-workers on some fundamental beliefs but still loathe them. I agree with Maher on a few things as well but it doesn't change that he is an *** in the way he says things.
