Anyone Turned Off by the Arenas?

Bums me to see half-filled arenas for the Sweet 16. Empy seats combined with lack of noise really is a deflator. Temporary courtside seating looks like something from a JV Gym that pulls out of the side of the bleachers.

Desolate barns surely cause the low shooting percentages and low scores. Not sure what the answer is, but maybe 18-20,000 arenas which would cause higher ticket prices, but creates more demand might be preferable.

Bah, humbug.

I tend to agree, although the Duke/Purdue game and the Baylor/St Mary's game before it seemed to be kind of loud in their respective arenas. Maybe I'm just used to the peace and quiet of our place. The sparse crowds in the upper deck do look a little strange.

I don't like it either. I much prefer UNC's first round NIT game type atmosphere.
