I am at Fort Hood, and I was looking to road trip out and back. I have to be back by sometime Friday. I have tickets at will call.

I really appreciate it. I tried numerous attempts to get someone to go with me, but I have officially given up. I got me a plane ticket tonight. I will fly out tomorrow night and arrive at Orange County the morning of the 7th. I will make my way to the game, watch the Horns kick some ***, and then move out to LAX. I fly out a little after midnight and will be back home before 10AM. I can't even describe how excited I am.

With today's enhanced security, you should be okay if you head for LAX by no later than 9:30 PM. If you are dropping off a rental car, you better leave earlier than that. You will lose a lot of time fighting the crowds leaving the game and the parking lots and you won't be able to get a cab anywhere outside the stadium. Bear in mind that LAX is a little more than 30 miles from the Rose Bowl and in decent traffic, it takes at least 30-35 minutes to get there. I doubt you will get on the plane if you arrive at LAX an hour before departure.

No rental car or anything else to mess with. It is just me and a back pack. I took that stuff into consideration to try to make movent and clearing checkpoints a pain free as possible. So far it is working out great as long as I can get out of Denver in the morning.
