I waited to late to book my room and all that is left is Treasure Island. Any info about the hotel either good or bad is appreciated.

Several times. I like it a lot. It's probably the best value in Vegas, at least as far as getting a nice hotel for middle-of-the-road hotel prices.

And when those dudes outside give you buy 1 get 1 free coupons for the margaritas at Kahunaville, use them. Those ******* things are liquid crack.

A good value. Nice place, good location, reasonable room rates. Is ther better sure! Is there cheaper sure! But its a place no one wold have a real big problem with. Hope that helps

When I was in grad school and in my first job, I always chose TI when I wanted a mid-range priced hotel. I really like this place, for it is the one of the best deals on the strip, imo. I like the location, price, rooms, everyday food, but most of all I like the size of the hotel. Easy in--easy out. Easy navigation. Wife also liked it, which is important.

Tangerine, the semi-trendy bar at TI is above average, especially since you dont wait in line or pay cover when staying at the hotel.

Everything is smaller than the average place. I liked this, as sometimes I want a smaller pool, buffet, poker room, etc.

Overall, in that price range, I think TI is ideal.

+1 on the Kahunaville 'ritas.

But I got the shits after dining at the Buccaneer Bay Restaurant a couple of years ago.

Their renovated rooms are pretty nice.

What is the deal with the show outside everynight? Is that something that you can watch from your room and is it even worth it?

Stayed there for my bachelor party in December. Don't remember a lot, but I do remember liking it more than New York, New York.

the outside show is ok but whatever ;you do DO NOT stand on the sidewalk for a view of the performance. stand on the view area, last row behind the sidewalk so that you don't get stampeded.

I thought the show was pretty good. We went in early February when the weather was near freezing. Most of the performers are required to go into the water at some point during the show and are wearing little attire. Even if the water was heated, they had to be hating life when they got back into the winter air.

all these positive reviews?

so the stories about the pirates in the show liking the taste of "long pork" aren't true?

Does TI offer any shuttles to other casinos? The only reason I ask is I want to play in several poker tournaments and with tempatures in the 110's walking might be a bit of a drag.

TI definitely the best bang for the buck. There was a time...when I was in Vegas every other week. How I survived I'll never know. Now it's down to every other month, so I can handle it. But considering I've been to Vegas 150-200 times in my life (ouch, that just sounds bad), I've seen a lot change, and the late 90's/early 00's remodel of TI did it wonders. Great value, a little far from some things but with a very convenient tram to Mirage if you're looking to go elsewhere. Two thumbs up for the graveyard pit boss "Dallas". He always took care of me

TI is in a great location, especially being across the street from the current doubling in size of the Venetian and Wynn...plus close to the new super hotel/casino that will replace the old Frontier dump.

Also, HET is going to redevelop the stretch between Bally's and Harrah's after the IP, the Barbary and O'Shea's are imploded, followed by a makeover of Bally's & the Flamingo.

In three or four years the Strip Between the CircusCircus and the Monte Carlo will be almost entirely different. Also, the Tropicana is going to get a radical makeover.

There's at least $14 billion in new Strip construction going on now (mostly between Bellagio & the Monte Carlo), with at least that much more to follow soon.

Those of you who despise the glitzy "supercasinos" will still find old school Vegas down on Fremont Street, although some of those properties are being renovated too.

Have any of you guys taken the Tram before? I am just curious about how often it runs and where it picks you up at. I emailed TI and they told me to take a cab if I wanted to go somewhere.

TI is a fun place to stay and play...they've remodeled and updated their color schemes. Bar in the back is fun with entertaining bartenders. I hit 4 of a kind in Let It Ride so I have fond memories.

Hook'em!!!
