Well yea. I'm definitely doing that. What I'm also looking for is if anyone has advice on how to make sure the work gets done right.
I've generally considered that the totem pole of society goes something like this (starting from the lowest):
1. Actual criminals that are in jail
2. Tow truck drivers
3. Roofers
4. Drug Dealers / Pimps

I'm certain I could call plenty of roofers who would come out and bang around in the attic, declare victory, and collect the check. How do I make sure the actual leak goes away?
Call whoever the put the roof on. Regardless of your covering, I think it's unlikely that it's failing this quickly, though it's possible. More likely flashing issue somewhere on the roof. In addition to calling the roofer, you might hire an inspector/engineer to go out and watch the work to make sure the roofers do it right.
Almost certainly a sheet metal problem. Get up there yourself and check out all the penetrations (things that stick up from the roof). See if you can see a crack in the tar, etc. If so, get yourself a tube of Henry 208 at home depot, and apply to the crack.
