Of course not.
But 2 backup QB’s left this week. A #7 QB and a # 10 QB ESPN rated when they were HS seniors.
Chandler and Mordocai. (Sp- sue me)
If a team has a hotshot FR starting QB, that is going to affect thier QB recruiting.
So they get a 5* the next year, he sticks for a year- gets frustrated and leaves a huge hole.

My point is Jackson left and some assumed it was the unrest.... this portal is a mess.
New strategy- Recruit 1 5* QB , get a year or two out of em and then get a transfer who was mentored by another Power 5 school.
Fields, Hurts, Murray, JT Daniels, the Miami QB King...

Casey Thompson fan. B12 All Academic. He’s waited 3 years and a season under Yurich should be a big factor. Bravo Casey
I think Card has some Sam DNA, meaning he stays because of his love for UT.

I hope you are right about Card. Technically he still has 5 years to get 4 years in since 2020 doesn't count.

The situation at OU is OU has a STUD who will be there for two more years, and the back ups are obviously not going to beat that guy out..Their HS play doesn't show they have what it takes to beat out the Rat Snake.....
Texas' situation is there is no solid as a rock guy in the position of starter ( Sam isn't that good ).....A guy as talented as Jackson ( second coming of VY judging from his HS play ) could easily beat him out if given a chance...So why does he leave ?? Obviously he doesn't think he will be given a fair shake with all the stroking people give Card and Sam. Especially since Sam never got pulled when sucking in games, even though Herman gave lip service about how good back ups were during pressers...Well...honestly if you think back ups are so good, then why not use them when the starter is having a bad day ...Like Saban and Riley and others do ???? Seeing what we all see, I can understand our players saying ," F this...I'm going somewhere to get a fair chance." Where as at OU they say," F this...I can't beat this guy out on his bad days, so I'm leaving."

I was speaking in general terms.
Let’s say, Thompson is a rock star. Someone like Ewers comes in, then sits for a year. Knows Thompson has at 2 more- Ewers leaves.
IF UT had Thompson , Card, and Ewers .... it theoretically hurts recruiting for another top QB in 2022.
Updated
So let AL, tOSU, FL, OU. Recruit for UT and hit the portal to pick up a SO or JR QB when they sit, quit and UT has a gap.
Folks- a lot of this is tongue in cheek

I like your general sentiment, NR, but as far as the original question posed...It seems to me by far most here have attributed JQJs leaving to competition and pecking order in front of him...not unrest.

Absolutely, I agree. This is the new face of college football

Are okie players leaving because of the culture?

Nah, not because of culture. More likely for more money, and don’t have to go to classes.
