Anyone ever make wine?

I would really like to get my dad a kit of some kind so that he and I can start making some wine. I think he'd love it and I know i just enjoy doing stuff like that with him.
Anyone have any ideas? Anyone ever done it?

I made beer several times in college and that was great fun so I think this would be a really enjoyable thing as well. Any direction is appreciated.....

thanks for the recs! the water to wine is actually a little different. you participate but don't actually make the wine. it still sounds really neat and i might venture in there.
as it turns out the austin homebrew recommendation wasn't far off as the place in houston i found is wine & beer (defalco's). i did go to austin homebrew when i bought the beer kit in college. that was allsome.

Agreed on Austin Homebrew. I have probably made 50 kits from there over the last 12 years. It's pretty easy to do as well.
