anyone else mix beer and ice cream?

talking about imperial stouts and other high alc content/sweeter brews.

I have tried several imperial stouts and never been disapointed although my fave is Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout linky and mix it with vanilla ice cream.

I've long thought that a Guinness float would be worth trying but I've never gotten around to it.

My daughter's favorite Amy's ice cream was Shiner Bock, so why not?

I tried it as a shake if I recall correctly...

was interesting... not unpleasant... not overly exciting...

Amy's recently made an ice cream out of Live Oak's Big Bark. I thought it was pretty good.

But I've never tried to mix beer and ice cream on my own...

Sounds interesting. One thing that I have tried and absolutely love is whiskey over mint chocolate chip.

I've tried vanilla ice cream with Young's Double Chocolate Stout. It was ok, but not something I would go out of my way to have again. Amy's Guinness ice cream is pretty tasty, but I haven't had their Big Bark. That sounds pretty crazy and definitely worth a try
