Anyone else hope the team gets new uniforms?

Completely aesthetic, but I think we need a fresh new appearance for 2011-12. The sides of the recent uniforms are way too busy for my taste.

I'm watching Baylor on TV right now, and they have that new Nike style which our mens' team wears (some sort of silhouette design); but, I think it's also some sort of dri-fit or light-weight fabric.

I think the UConn women wear that type, too.

Perhaps they will simplify the look and go to something similar to Duke's men's team.

Opinions?

I don't really notice the unis as long as I can read the numbers.

But I thought the women were using similar unis as the men for the same reasons-drier, more light weight.

You posted this on Sunday after I was having the same conversation with my daughter on Saturday. I hadn’t really thought about it, but she definitely thinks it is time for a change.

After giving it some thought I think this would be a good time. I think everyone believes that next season should be the beginning of a resurgence in the program, (even those who don’t think it will happen). Just seems appropriate to me. Maybe Carla Cortijo could design something.

Our unis are not like the men's team.

Men's have a very cool Texas outline on the back, which I never saw on the women's...

I hope we get new ones, too...but I did like the BO w/ black trim...

I noticed last night that Stanford was also sporting Nike's dri-fit / light-weight style uniforms. They were pretty basic as far as design, but I liked the simplicity.

Perhaps all Nike schools (like us) will make that same change next season.
