Anyone else dying of allergies?

Cedar does not really bother me the way that mold does but when something is high with a good mold count it is worse.

I don't know if I caught a cold the other day or if it is something else. I was around a lot of cigarette smoke and I think I am allergic to too much of that, I dunno.

Eventually, the cedar gets everybody. I don't think anyone stays immune to it in Austin.

Death to cedar trees!

Went out to run a few errands this afternoon and almost died from the itching and sneezing. I'm quite familiar with allergies -- I test allergic to EVERYTHING -- but this cedar season has been unreal.

I usually only have problems in the spring but this winter I have had flareups at a time when I am normally fine.

I was sitting on my deck overlooking the greenbelt in NW Austin feeding peanuts to the squirrels when I spotted what appeared to be a large plume of smoke similar to the video. I feared it was a brush fire, but soon realized that it was the cedar pollen the squirrels were stirring up as they scrambled through the trees to come get my peanuts. Never seen anything like it before.

Ditto.

I preemptively tried to beat it by taking Claritin early on and was fine but then today I thought I had gotten a cold.........but, alas, it appears there is a Cedar Attack in Travis County.

It's awful.

Hmmm, time to rethink this then. I guess on days when it is really bad I am affected since I too thought I was coming down with a cold on Sunday. I had the drainage and the sore throat. Today and last night my eyes were really itchy and yes, I have been sneezing at times.

I got some Benadryl for tonight and some Claritin for tomorrow and daytime use. Mucinex helps. C'mon rain.

I am glad that I am not coming down with a flu or cold. At least I hope not.

Yeah, hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday, couldn't fall asleep last night at all due to the congestion.
Cedar trees are just plain evil.
****, I hate this time of year

Channel 24 news in Austin said Monday had the highest cedar counts of the year. Wind didn't help, and we really need some rain to knock the crap down. Dry weather and high winds are no bueno for cedar fever.

We are in exteme drought conditions, and the cedar is dry and the pollen releasing in clouds of white smoke appearing plumes. Saw it on the weather last night, looked like a wild fire had started, and it was just clouds of cedar pollen.
Mold bothers me more, but still, it does have some effect.
I sympathize with those with cedar allergies, because this year may be the worst ever.

Mine had cleared up but I woke up Sunday morning with it really bad. And last night I would have to wake up to grab a kleenex. Who sneezes and has a runny nose while they sleep?

neti pot twice a day if you aren't already. then post the video here so we can laugh at you.

jk, it helps.

Sunday night I put little wads of kleenex in my nose so it would not drip while I slept. I am sure I snored like a Bear but so what. At least I did not wake to have a snot filled pillowcase.

I too am more bothered by mold. Mold gives me a headache. This is my first time to react to this crap but it is better today and yesterday was better than the day before.
