Well, I went today for the first time at the new Houston location. Pretty good overall, but still working out the kinks...
Of course there are a lot of Aggies there which can at times make it hard to eat.
But I asked for it, going to Freebirds, right into the heart of the beast. In the future I will just woop etc... and try to look inconspicuous.
But in a larger sense I am disappointed with my Houston dining experience. Of course there is a Texasdelphia which provides some relief but the one in the Village is lame b/c it has all kinds of Rice junk on the walls and their map of 'other locations' lists Dallas, College Station!! and Westheimer? Where is the love for the birthplace of all that is covered in onions, cheese and mustard blend??
I guess I just wish we had a hula hut, Hut's, Threadgill's, Salt Lick, or something else to remind me of mecca...
