Anybody been to Kuala Lumpur?

Be careful. It is a muslim country and you need to watch yourself. The towers are not as high as you think they are.

I remember going ot the museum there, it was brilliant. Very funny, badly stuffed animals that looked totally freaky. KL was alright, but was only there for a bit. People were friendly. I think there was an area called 'Little India' which was interesting to walk around. We ate at a very good Indian restaurant, but sorry...again im not much use, cos i cant remember the name of it.

I try to eat Indian food only in India. It does something foul to me.

Should be an interesting trip. One of the people I'm meeting there (a local) informed me that there is a "Star Buck" right next to my hotel.

Actually, Yi Jianlian...

There were actually 3 Starbucks, a Mickey-D's, a Toys R Us, and a few 7-11's all within a 3 minute walk of the hotel.

KL was nice, not at chaotic as I expected. Food was good and diverse. Sushi, Thai, Italian, Chinese, Indian. Had it all. Good stuff.

The towers were tall, but not as tall as I expected in person. The shopping mall attached to the towers was a zoo - think Galleria x5 in size and x500 in crowd.

Its ok if you need a break from the remote jungle, but for that I much prefer Singapore. Or Malaysian or Thai beach resorts or the the Genting highlands. Bangkok is so much better, thinking about that.

Sangre pretty much sums up the scene there. Plus a few durians, and many conservatively dressed muslims. In the "bin there, done that" pantheon, it doesn't rank.
