Between NewCorp (Fox networks) and DirectTV will be resolved this week? I see the Tech game is on FX and in jeopardy for those of us reliant on the Fox sports networks.....

this fox sports thing concerns me...the reason i have directv is b/c of the sports "package" they sell. wv in a hear/o it, i'll drop directtbeat esp since their response to me about the LHN was basically "no"

It's one thing for DTV to stare down Comcast over Versus, which few watched (even though it cost us Texas at Wyoming), or the LHN, which is starting from zero, and quite another to cut 20 channels that they know people watch.

Doesn't mean they'll make a deal, but the chances are better.

I actually got a kick out of it. It was funny watching it on DirecTV seeing the competing scrolling messages blaming each other. Frankly i thought it was in incredibly poor taste for Fox to actively promote viewers to leave DirecTV while they were negotiating a deal, so it was pretty funny when DirecTV came out with the 30-second commercial telling everyone what the relevant deal points where and why Fox was being unreasonable.

It was like if Jerry Springer had two broadcast networks on to get into a hair-pulling match on national television.
