My wife wants to make a cobbler but does not have a good recipe. Peach or blackberry would be great, or any other recipie woul dbe appreciated.

Do a google search for basic cobbler recipes, and you'll find a winner. Mine is pretty much a basic cobbler recipe (I can't recall the portions, but the ingredients and method are as follows)

2 cups fruit (dewberries, sliced fresh peaches, etc.)
some sugar
some cinammon

Mix all of those together, smashing some of the fruit to make some juice/syrup.

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 stick butter, melted
1 tbsp baking powder
some milk, maybe an egg (can't recall)

Mix batter together. Pour batter into baking dish. Sprinkle fruit over the top, sprinkle with a bit of cinammon. Bake at 350 for 45 mins to an hour. The fruit sinks through the crust, so you have fruit on bottom, crust on top. Serve hot, WITH ICE CREAM (serving cobbler without ice cream is a felony in the Republic of Brisketexan).

Again, don't take that recipe to the bank -- ingredient amounts and timing might be a bit off, but if you find a recipe that's generally like that, it's a winner. No need to get fancy.
