Good luck to him, but I guess I didn't realize admission standards were less at TCU than at Texas. Could have used him in the lineup.

They aren't. He could have qualified at Texas but Texas picked up Grant and some other qualified WRs and couldn't afford (or didn't want) to hold a spot open for him.

Texas listed him on their roster until yesterday. Doesn't sound like a team that didn't want him.

I am sure Mack & Co. check and update that every day, especially before practice has even started.
