The Texas basketball program has been on a recruiting roll since March rivaled by only two or three teams in college basketball. On Monday, the roll continued as St. Benedict Prep and Grassroots AAU point guard Myck Kabongo committed to Texas Head Coach Rick Barnes. Kabongo, a sophomore, is one of the top prospects in the 2011 class and joins junior teammate Tristan Thompson as future Longhorns.

From those photos it looks like Tristan is really starting to bulk up compared to earlier photos I've seen of him.

Can anyone tell me how to pronouce Myck Kabongo?

Kabongo is the real thing, a true PG that can score,defend,Pass the rock. He is one of few2011 PG that really understands the pick and roll / pop. A gifted PG that only will get better as he gets older.
This kid is a great fit, Thompson was reported to say that " I want to be as big or bigger then James(Damion) when I get there".
Good news for Texas the talent lever is getting better everytime we turn around. GREAT get for us !

I like Myck. I hope like hell we beat ou tonight. Even my dear departed mother asked me back in the 80's, "Why doesn't Texas fall into the Gulf of Mexico?" I said, "Why?" and she responded with, "Because Oklahoma sucks."

I was surprised that her being a rural rancher's wife 35 miles from Tyler that that fact had gotten there.
