I need some recommendations for a Satellite/Subwoofer home theater speaker setup.

This is for my dad, and due to some unavoidalbe restrictions with the geography of the room these are going in, I am maxed out with a 6.1 system, can't wire a 7.1, and I have to get a satellite speaker setup. There definately is no room for floor speakers, and I don't think I have room even for bookshelf speakers. Wall mountable/ceiling mountable satellites are going to have to do it.

But that doesn't mean it can't sound good, I know there are some good systems out there.

I'm eying the Onkyo TX-SR502 6.1 receiver to go with them. I was going to steer him to the Harman Kardon line, but he wants a second zone of L/R speakers to wire to his back patio. The HKs don't offer that. The Onkyo has an A/B setting for the L/Rs...

I'm also looking at the Denon AVR-1705 as an alternative reciever to the Onkyo.

Anywho, I need some recommendations for the speakers.

And don't bother typing Bose, because I won't go anywhere near that.

NHT (now hear this), original bose engineer started the company, and the NHT's actually have midrange. They are spectacular. Worth some research.

I bought an Onkyo home theater because I wanted to play in different zones (or not), and I really had to do it on the cheap. Do you know that when you are using the "B" channel that the satellite speakers don't get used (no sound from them)?

If that bugs you, you may have to go with a more expensive multi-zone receiver.

I second the NHT recommendation. I went with Paradigm for the sub - it's a beast, but the output is incredible.
