Another QB?

Do you think Texas would be interested in someone like this? I know 3 star qb's are pretty easy to find, but not many tied for the MVP award at the elite 11 qb camp. I can also attest that arm strength and accuracy are not a problem at all.

I'm quite sure Texas would be interested... but is he interested in Texas??? With only 2 scholarship Qb's on the team now and the possibility of one leaving in the spring, Harsin/White will look to take 2 on NSD...

I'm not sure if he has any interest in Texas or not. I'm not sure if we have given him any reason to be interested in us. I know he has gone to watch Bama play. I would hate it if he ends playing in the SEC and we continue to struggle at QB.

Something tells me that even if a second QB is offered, it won't be a top 10 QB. My guess is that it will be a G.J. Kinne type QB.

Great story on Kinne and his dad on ESPN the other night. Forgot what the title of the show is. E60, I think. About when his father got shot by the father of a disgruntled player. So glad to see the story had a happy ending. Also stated Kinne was on the Davey O'Brien watchlist. He has had decent numbers, but not really comparable to the great college QBs. He would probably be starting at UT right now had he stayed. Oh well.

There are 3=4 on the Elite QB roster that we should go after but I am sure we won't because the staff is too concerned about providing discomfort to an existing committ. This absolutely sickens me. We need to get the best players. Period. If you are scared to compete, go somewhere else.

"We need to get the best players. Period. If you are scared to compete, go somewhere else."

See, this created the atmosphere in which we lost Snead, Brantley, Kinne, Wood, Gilbert, and maybe now another guy. We don't necessarily need the best players, because other schools do just fine without "the best" playing QB.

I think instead of telling QB recruits that they'll have to overcome their fears and compete, we just need to do a better job coaching the ones we have. That will bring in the recruits who are willing to sit a year or two while they learn the system, and then the turnover is limited, and we'll have a "system" with which to work.

Right now it's trial by fire because every QB expects to play immediately. We're a joke thanks to the previous QB coach.
