Another leader of the left makes an *** of himself

He certainly could have picked another day or toned down the hate if he felt it must appear today

I have no problem with him airing his views, even ones i consider uncivil.
He believes what he believes and his job is to write columns. I just think he shows an incredible lack of respect for the day to have that appear today.

Leftwith, shame on you for calling this guy a "leader of the left". Isnt this one day you can let this **** go?

I'm not sure why anyone listens to people like Krugman. Economists who adhere to his philosophy were resoundingly discredited 30 years ago. He should be viewed with the same deference and credibility as "earth-is-flat" believers and Holocaust deniers.

Like most leftists, Krugman's hypocrisy is off the charts. If anyone is guilty of cashing in on tragedy, it is HIM, with this column.

He did the same thing after the Giffords shooting, accusing the Right of influencing the shooter. (which was complete ********)

Nobody knows how to project like liberals. Their hypocrisy is so obvious and in your face (like when Obama accusing ANYONE of politicizing an event), it's like they are TRYING to look like complete asshats.

He's lucky to have you as a regular reader, I suppose. And you're lucky to have him to support your own ideas about the evil lefties. Smart shoppers know exactly where to go to get what they want.

Your mirror image would shop at the Ann Coulter store with maybe a visit to the Sarah Palin Boutique to complete their needs to believe that "righties" are venomous and vacuous.

Also, do you deny that the event was exploited and is still exploited for political gain? All such events, large and small, are fodder for our politicians to posture beside and profit by. It's a trait of representative, elective government just as smug hypocrisy is trait of the partisan voter.

A great exercise of energy- read an Op-Ed columnist, assign him/her the definition of "right/left" label, and continue hatred of said partisan side.

This way we'll never ever get along with 50% of the country! Great idea Leftwich!

Maybe you'll inspire an Op-Ed off- where we post the most hate infested editorials from both sides!

Economists like him were discredited thirty years ago? Thirty years ago was 1981, when the "deficits don't matter" crowd took over. Is this what you are talking about?

As for the disgraceful collection of ignorant, militaristic flotsam who ran our country into the ground with excessive spending on unnecessary wars and unfunded prescription benefits during the last administration, they deserve all the scorn they can get, any day of the week.

Reagan fought with O'neil over how money was to be spent. He wanted to gut the democratic programs and fund his own new ones, like the monster navy fleet, full of WW II battleships the navy did not want. He could not get Oneil to give up the safety net programs so he signed budget after budget that was way in the red and which Cheney later cited as proof that budget deficits didn't matter.

That is what I meant.

Reagan never vetoed a budget in eight years and never balanced one. Tip Oneil would no doubt blame Reagan for not balancing budgets. Pointing at each other was one of their mutual fortes.

Reagan cut taxes and increased spending and then whined about unbalanced budgets and blamed it on domestic spending programs favored by democrats.
