Another Excell Question

I'm trying to get 1800 names from an excel file printed on to some certificates . They are already in alphabetical order but just need some ideas. Do I need to create a template from scratch?

I don't have a specific answer but I think I can point you in the right direction.

Do you have a template in word set up to print the names in the right place on the certificates? If so I think you need to take the area where the name goes and make it a form field.

Then I think you need to do a merge forms where word will accept the column of names as the source input to the form field and repeat the process for the whole list. Then you print the merged document.
 
I started from scratch and got it to a point where I had <<Name>> etc. But when I merged the data nothing happened.
 
I think you can do what you're askingfor in Access pretty easily if you have it

Edit: yes, i said accessing instead of asking
 
Cause she knows doesn't have a clue either. But I'm give in and calling the computer nerds.
