Another 1/2 billion to Solyndra

This is nice. I'm glad to know how cost effective productive our government has been in its attempts to get these companies off the ground. How many kids are going hungry because of this? Isnt it always what's best for the children? This is why government bureacrats shouldnt be making decisions on whether or not something related to business is a good decision or not.

The Obama administration’s Department of Energy was poised last summer to give Solyndra a second major taxpayer loan of $469 million, even as the company’s financial situation was growing more dire.

The Energy Department was actively pushing to provide the second loan guarantee to the troubled solar-panel manufacturer in April and May 2010, when Solyndra’s auditors warned the company was in danger of closing due to its rapidly mounting debts and expenses, according to complete e-mails just released by a House committee investigating the original loan.

And your problem with this is...?

That campaign money isn't going to launder itself!

What is there to say or think about someone who sees nothing wrong with Obama in effect giving away a half a billion taxpayer money to a company that the previous admin put a stop sign on
and then the same obama admin nearly giving the same failed company a half a bil more
AND Obama changed the terms so his cronies would get back any money before the taxpayers??

Some people construct strawmen saying the GOP or posters on here do not want the gov't to help companies engaged in alternative energies. Such a lie
there is a HUGE difference between guaranteeing loans to companies that have been vetted and rushing through a half a bill for a photo op..

Mcbrett? question
is there another " green " company that has reveived a half a bill in taxpayer guarantees from Obama?

Does Obama think people will believe anything he says just because he says it?
today at yet another appearance/ speech/ presser he said this about Solyndra, in response to a question from ABC's Jake Tapper

"Solyndra — this is a loan-guarantee program that predates me and historically has support from Democrats and Republicans, as well. It’s a pretty straightforward idea:"

Obamites not paying attention would likely take that to mean pubs supported giving solyndra a half a bil.when in fact we know they did NOT approve a guarantee.

Slick lil dudette isn't he?

A democracy cannot continue to exist with uneducated - or willfully ignorant - voters. We're going to find out pretty soon if that applies to the US.
