Interesting. I certainly view Andy as a future TDF winner. At only 24, I wonder if he would ride one year in support of Lance to tag team against Contador. Thus becoming team leader in 2011 since it's doubtful Lance will ride the TDF beyond next year.
If Radio Shack did well they may keep the team in place minus Lance who may go into a support mode and promotional mode for the team. A team would be in place for Andy already (who may bring in his brother if not already there) to have a head start on winning a Tour.
Unlike Contador, andy may realize he has a lot that he could learn from Lance, Brunyeel and others in that camp. Things that would hone his skill and ability to be a true Champion, not a Chumpion like Contador is.
Always lots of rumors flying as the off season approaches in different sports, and cycling does not appear immune.
This is intriguing, on first glance I would ask why LA would want another contender on his team, but if there was a deal to help LA next year, then take over as top dog the next, that would be pretty attractive for Schleck, I would think.
I could go for that move. Lance may have no way of knowing what his race condition will be a year from now, and if Andy were on that team -- plus Johan as director, and a handful of reliable team mates -- Andy would be AC's worst nightmare, given the team (RadioShack 2010) abilities in riding, tactics and savy.
If you've not taken the time to stay up with Lance's twitter, it's very telling... including links over to Axel Merckx (spell) and even Ekimov today. AC is totally in the dog house now among racing circles. The Link (Lance's twitter)
