Analog Video Editing Software and DVD burning S/W

I have lots of Hi8 cassettes I want to put on my HD and then burn to DVDs...any suggestions on both software packs?

I have seen Pinnacle's Studio AV/DV Deluxe version 9 and it looks pretty good......

First you're going to need an analog to digital converter to get the footage on your hard drive.

I use Vegas/DVD Architect. It may be too much for your needs right now. If you've used Acid, then you already know how to use Vegas. Yes its a dumb name, but don't let it fool you regarding capabilities.
