Amy Winehouse

I know this has probably been discussed before, but the Grammy's was the first time I have ever seen her or heard her, but goodness, that was weird.

Is her act always that way? Where she looks spaced out and drunk or high? Maybe I should hear more of her music, but seeing her in concert would not be at the top of my list.

She is definitely strange. But her music is outstanding. Great vibe with an old school feel.

Question: how can somebody who has actually been through rehab continue to sing a song about refusing to go to rehab?

Answer: she sucks

Geez, you would base who you listen to on their looks?

Give me talent any day, I don't care how someone looks... Though being good-looking certainly doesn't hurt.

Her album is actually very good.

Motown/Stax vibe, great production.

She has her demons, but she can sing.

The girl can sing...and I like her 2 albums very much. I'm hoping she can clean up and continue with a long career.

Her talent is undeniable.

Unfortunately, so are her demons.

Mac is right on. The smart money is on a very short career.

Too bad.

(P.S. She had an attractive look on her videos, but she is not a beautiful woman.)

I also dig her music, especially her most recent CD "Back To Black", and I hope she can kick her addiction(s).

She's never been a beautiful woman, but she was fairly attractive before she got hooked on drugs. See this after-and-before shot:

Now, I know she's on crack. You must be too.

Did you see her legs? They are freaking twigs. You must have a thing for scary, bad girls.

Mr. Wizard... nice call on the Stax...
unfortunately, she's basically just white trash.. trying to rehash Stax/Motown music.

Sings like Elmer Fudd, dropping her RRRsss. No talent and soon to be dead.

She looks like an uglier pre death Keith Moon without the singing or musical talent.

Saw part of her concert on cable a couple of weeks ago. The only thing that kept her from falling down was the microphone stand. I think her legs were skinnier than the microphone stand.

She bent over forward while the camera was showing her from the rear and the sight of her bony *** still gives me nightmares.

It's laughable when I see people posting that she is overrated or lacks talent. The girl has an amazing voice and blows any "pop" vocalist today out of the water.

I do, however, understand the critiques of her recent performance. She definitely has a unique live style (which she actually has had prior to being a drug addict) that may not resonate with everyone. She sings her songs different everytime, which IMO, isn't a bad thing.

She's ****** up and probably will be dead soon and that certainly contributes to her looks and live show, but her talent is undeniable. If you disagree you have no idea what you are talking about and should pick up her 2 albums.

Well personally I think the Stax sound was better...
but, I didn't know if that was directed at me or Mr. W.

The Stax/Motown era baby, the era.

The production, the musicians, the back-up singers, the soul.

Go with it my man.

Bring the sounds together man, feel it.

Her collaboration with Ghostface on his More Fish album is what brought me to her. What a great song. Then I got her Back to Black album. It really is a great album.

If you think her show is weird you should check out a Cat Power show. I really hope that she could get her stuff together because she has a great sound.

As an aside, I really, really wish that people would stop being so freaking superficial. All people can seem to do now a days is criticize other people's looks. It's pathetic.
