they have given notice that they will severe ties with the Big 12 as of June 30, 2012, pending acceptance from another conference.

While I expect the SEC to accpet their application for membership, what happens if they don't get it?

They are GONE next year...yeah, Seattle will lose a BIG part of his song and dance against all things Texas...so sad....

Don't flatter yourself BBV. Goestenkors has other marks on her record at Texas that are obviously glaring and not to Texas standards.

aww, seattle's half empty glass just got all empty. Now seattle's gonna have to work to get back to half empty. I can see him scratching around trying to find something to fill that glass.

if the Big 12 does break up, where would Baylor end up? and would it affect their recruiting? I doubt if they end up in a major conference but as long as they keep winning in the NCAAs, that may not impact their recruiting much. Any slippage, though, and that will change.

Still hope the Big 12 stays together but I have to admit I'm not real sure that it will much longer.

all foam no beer = overseas.

Until Goestenkors shows she worth a cool million, she doesn't get a free pass. She's not even elite anymore.

looks like A&M got the votes needed to get an invite from the SEC.

Now, let's see what OU does and what Texas does in response. PAC 12? ACC? Indy? or Big 12?

Still hoping that OU and Texas keep the Big 12 together.

more drama.
From other threads on the football forum, ISU, TT, KSU, KU, and MU have joined BU in NOT letting go of their to sue.

This is turning into quite a reality show. Will they go or not? Will they be allowed to go? Nice diversion until BB season starts.
