American Ninja Question

In this classic, there's some things that happen at the end I question. The bad/evil ninja uses guns and heat lasers to fight Michael Dudikov (sp). Doesn't that violate the code of the ninja to use any sort of firearm? I mean, don't get me wrong it made the movie that much more bad *** to see some sweet ninja gear put to use but not at the sake of violating the code.

Any ninjas on here care to comment?

Had the main character been a Pirate, those Heat Lasers would have bounced harmlessly off of his gold teeth and the bullets would disintegrated on contact so it wouldn't have mattered if the bad ninja was a cheater.
