Yes, I watch. This years group looks really pathetic. Ive never seen such a horrible group of singers on the show. Ellen is a nice change. That's all.

Adam Lambert is one of the worst contestants ever...

That being said... I like Andrew Garcia, and I also like the one girl from Littleton, CO....
The dude from Ft. Worth is alright, and Lee will get there too. This year seems to be a TON of VERY VERY young and inexperienced contestants. One guy last night said he had sung in front of people 3 times.. at cofee shops before American Idol... that is ZERO experience. The kid is only 19. I think that there are about 8 of them that are 20 or younger. VERY inexperienced group, and you have to cut them some slack as they should be improving greatly each week.

I like two of the ladies, Crystal Bowersox, and gal from the Denver area with the white hair. They both have the folk-y, singer/songwriter thing going on.

The dude from Texas that bared his chest for Kara is, in my opinion, the best of the guys. The ex banger isn't bad...and the dancer from Dallas is alright. I agree with the Denver chick...also the Mom with dreadlocks and the chick with the ring in her nose, who seems rather dumb.

Adam was a ******* creative and artistic genius

oh my..let's cool it down a few notches. genius is a big word and using arrangements from other covers, bands and musicians on the show does not make you a genius. i was sorry to see the hot mexican get kicked off last night. she was pretty hot and i wanted to see her in less cothing. that being said, she looked really pissed last night and i wouldnt have wanted to be her boyfriend following that deal.

The talent this season sucks.

Last year was off the charts good. Matt Giraud, Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen are all making names for themselves outside of idol.

This year, there is no one that even compares to their talent.

People who hated Lambert last year dont understand what Idol needs/gives. Adam Lambert brought a performance each week that was memorable and not only that, off the charts amazing.

This year, its a bunch of wanna be's. No one can sing like Adam or Kris.

However, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. That was there first live show.. the sound seemed to be off each night.

Im a huge AI fan. So I will follow no matter what. But I garuntee you this will be one of the worst seasons yet, talent wise.

Oh.. and the reason Haleigh Vaughn (black girl who sings/screams country), and Tim (the dude who sang Apologize by OneRepublic) stayed around are because of this stupid site:
The Link

They make it their mission to vote for the worst people each week. Which realllllly irratates the **** out of me. These kids fight and work their asses off to get there.. They out perform the people that suck.. yet they get sent home because of this stupid fanbase of *** holes.

Im guessing vote for the worst's webmaster was an Idol reject who got reamed by Simon during auditions, so now its his duty to ruin the show.

i think it would be fun if you were suppose to vote off the worst each week. Wonder how that would have changed the outcome...Daughtry probably would have won his season or at least made the finals.

Happened to catch AI this week for the first time in many many years....my thoughts exactly...no one is a real star on this show and the "eye candy" some have refered too would do well as a front man in a rock band and not much more.

Per usual Simon is right on target with this group....IMO, he does not see a star being born.

I don't disagree with any of that. I just think that the talent, voting, and judging are smaller symptoms of a broken show. That show garners millions of viewers and makes Fox tons of money, granted, but it is hard to deny the numerous issues with the show, and I think the ratings will finally begin to reflect it without Simon next season.

Actually, I found it interesting that the Olympics actually beat Idol twice in two weeks. Both were Idol results shows, but regardless, it was the first time since 2004 that Idol didn't win its time slot.

Dio,
Adam Lambert must be the type of 'amazing' performance that this new generation likes.... (I see him going hand in hand with the thread about how terrible the music of today is.)
I don't care about Adam Lambert's politics. I doubt I agree much with Bruce Springsteen's politics, but that guy is wicked talented. I also love Elton John, and probably don't agree with all he does personally. His music is great though.

Adam's music is scream riffs high like I am a glam rocker who can't do anything else besides screw up songs that were previously good. He was almost always screaming, almost always pitchy, and never my cup of tea.
He really wasn't one of the worst performers ever. I was using this literary device known as hyperbole.
Hearing Kris Allen sing "Let It Be' was great. Smooth clear clean voice that has soul and emotion. I like that a great deal.

No one's standing out yet-- save dread locks girl and hot boy-- but that doesn't mean they won't. I'm expecting this week to be a LOT better, now that they've had a chance to learn how it all works.

I agree with everything Waldo says.

As far as Lambert, he likes to be in the spotlight way too much and its for all the wrong reasons. However, he has cleaned his act up a bit.

His album is a big pile of crap. But his performances on the show that week were actually something to look foward to. I always wanted to see how high of a note he would hit, or what song he was going to change next... It was entertaining.

This year, I dont feel that for anyone yet. Hopefully they learn how to bring it... cause this show will not survive with mediocre talent and no Simon Cowell to rip them.

ive decided to root for the two texas kids, alex lambert from the fort and the other kid from dallas. both will probably make it to the top 10.

i caught a bit of this last night, and it was just not good. seems this season is not anywhere close in talent to prior years. the 4 judge panel sucks. they should have just kept it at 3 when paula left, or kept it at 3 with paula there. I do like Ellen on the show, but do not like having 4 of them. Simon seems rather bored with it all at this point, and it is no surprise he is leaving. This show is done.

I would say Big Mike, Lee DeWyze, and Aaron Kelly were the best last night.

Im pretty disappointed in Andrew.. He seemed to be like the best coming out of Hollywood week but ever since then hes been pretty lame.

Aaron Kelly has the best voice. However, he looks like the reincarnation of David Archuletta. Which is blah.

Tim Urban did much better.. But when hes up there its more like the big hot jock at your high school playing acoustic guitar at a talent show. Its okay, just nothing to be giddy over unless you are a tween girl.

I still think Lee DeWyze could be the best guy out of the bunch.. he just needs to fix his errors. Too many flat notes.. he gets "pitchy" a lot.

Its the girls to lose at this point. Im looking foward to seeing Katelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott tonight. They need someone to start bringing it, and FAST.
