I apologize if this is posted and I missed it...I promise I looked for it...

I'm hoping Ramielle or however she spells it will finally get kicked after this one...she Fing sucks.

Michael Johns was really good, but I hate that ascot, and there is something about him that bugs me, though I couldn't tell you what it is.

Archuleta = overrated

I liked David Cook's tune very much, and I thought Castro was pretty good too...don't know what Simon was hearing.
 
I knew when I heard the theme that I wouldn't enjoy it, just like when I heard they were doing a second week of Beatles songs. I thought Archuleta was by far the best this week, but my vote would go for redoing the entire week and giving everyone a new theme.
 
Whats your problem with Dolly? She has some great songs. I guess if you don't like C&W in general, I could understand that, but she has plenty of stuff that can be done in any style.

I liked David Cook, David Archuleta, Micheal Johns, Castro, Carly, Brooke, and Syesha.

Ramiele flat out sucked and Kristy Lee Cook has the stage presence of a wombat. She's not that good a singer either, but Nashville will get her in studio and she'll be a millionaire.

Music Row is what sucks.

I'd have to agree with the above! There were some really decent performances last night. I DEFINITELY want Ramiele to GO!!! SHE SUCKS!!!
 
David Cook is getting stronger and stronger each week. Archuleta finally returned to his old ways and gave a good performance.

Not sure why ANYONE would even attempt "I Will Always Love You," much less Syesha. Nice voice, but that is Whitney's song now and nobody should even think about trying to top her rendition.
 
I didn't think Cook was all that great. I'll give him this, though. He FINALLY did his own arrangement, instead of using someone else's and passing it off as his own. Perhaps that's why he sucked last night.

DialIdol is preciting Pagent Boy, Aussie Mercury, Rocker Cook, and Whitney Wannabe as safe. ..... Syesha, seriously?

Predicting bottom three as (starting with most likely to go home): Lullaby, Aggy, Country Cook ... with possible Irish Lassie and G Rating mixed in.
 
Agree. I have always, always hated Whitney's version. Far inferior to Dolly -- and I'm not even a C & W fan. I wanted to strangle people when the Whitney version popped up and they played it half a million times.

As for the show... I'm surprised Country Cook has made it this far. Also surprised goody-goody (Brooke) made the bottom 3.
 
If Ausie gets with the right band, he could have a really nice career. With him - and probably Cook - it will be about finding good songs after AI is over. None of these guys have the talent to pump out crappy songs and make me want to buy them. That said, there are probably 4-5 of them that have enough talent to succeed with the right music.
 
This is the first season I've watched this show but as they were showing some of the past finalists, they were ugly as a dog's ***. Others were merely average looking.

Shouldn't looks factor into this somehow? I mean, I'm not giving a record deal to someone who at least doesn't "look the part." There should be a combo of looks and talent.

That being said, the ones from this group with that combo are the Aussie, Booke, Kristi Lee Cook, and Syesha. The Irish girl looks OK but if I'm a record exec, I'd be worried that she'd show up with a face tat or somesuch.
 
Up with people reference is exactly right. The guy can do the sentimental ballas dead on, but with anything else he seems silly, especially when he tries to "move".

As for Syesha, she has a nice sound for sure, but man she can't sing a complete phrase at all. She takes breaths in all the wrong places. It's very distracting and amateurish. With training, she could improve.

She still is not as bad as Fantasia, though. In the clip from Africa, she breathed in the middle of a word. "Aaaamaaaaay (breath) zing grace"
 
Archuletta is wearing on me. I told my wife that if the guy "makes it" in the industry, he'll be more of an easy listening star.

Cook did finally give props to other people's arrangements last night rather than claiming them as his own.
 
Have y'all noticed that Brooke can not take criticism well? After Randy or Simon say something slightly negative, she just says, "Okay. Yeah" in an effort to get them to stop. Does she really think all of her performances are perfect?
 
Brooke has started really bothering me. Last week she tried to make that "every breath you take" song all upbeat, and then last night she tried to make Jolene upbeat. Jolene is a sad, begging song-- nothing upbeat about it. And "every..." is creepy-- she made it bouncy. Eh. I don't think that girl has a clue.

The Aussie bugs me because he frowns when he sings. It's wierd.

David Cooke is great.

The Aussie is a friend of a friend. He came to the US to play tennis (I think at Valdosta St. - My friend played baseball there and his best friend's sister convinced the Aussie and some other Aussies to come to the US for tennis). The Aussie after coming to the US quit to sing in Atlanta. Anyway, I guess because of the relation (and that he is supposedly a good guy), I am rooting for him. Overall, it seems to me that the remaining men are better than the remaining women. I think Cook is the best. Archuletta is a very good singer but has no musical taste. He also is way too conservative (in a Donny Osmond way) to appeal to the general public in any genre other than easy listening.
