There has been 15 seasons of this show and anybody with half a brain should know not to apply to this show if you are afraid of heights or water. That is all.

example: this picture was given as a clue to find the building where their next clue would be waiting for them.

I still enjoy the show - but the last two eliminations have removed the most comedic contestants...

My wife and I created a fantasy sports type game every week where you score for certain things. After they introduced all of the teams during the first show, we each "drafted' 8 teams and award points for certain things each episode.

1 pt - someone on the other team cries
1 pt - someone on the other team gets seriously injured
1 pt - teams loses passports or money
1 pt - if your team wins the leg
1 pt - an opposing team loses the leg
1 pt - teams abusing or disrespecting the local culture

Playoffs =
3 points if your team makes it to the top 3.
5 points if your team wins the whole race

The Loser does dishes for a week. I know it sounds lame, but its good clean fun.

I used to run an office pool based on TAR (and Survivor).

In the TAR, we went with a simple "put teams in order of finish" and you got points equal to their position times the number of weeks they stayed on the race (kinda like some NCAA tournament pools).

I really liked Zeb & his partner. Very disappointed that they got eliminated.

That girl that wouldn't go down the slide was ridiculous. On one hand, I kinda understand. If I had to bungee jump or something like it, I would be scared out of my mind and it would be really difficult to take the plunge. On the other hand, going down a slide isn't bungee jumping and she is sliding into like 2 feet of water, so it's not like there is much real danger.

The worst part, though, was that HORRIBLE bathing suit. She looked like a fairly cute girl until she put on that god-forsaken thing. It made her look 3 months pregnant (without the engorged breasts). Just a crime against humanity.

There were 2 fantastic lines in the last 2 episodes. I loved 2 weeks ago when the other blond said something like "this car is so smooth. We are going 120 and it feels like we are going 60". Her boyfriend gently points out that they are going 120 kilometers per hour.
Then, this week when the globetrotters were competing in the rowing challenge, the little guy was making fun of his partner saying he was the biggest guy ever to row in a raft built for a 5-year-old. But, the funny part is when he kept yelling out "do it for the 'hood." The team from Iowa (or something) started yelling out "do it for the suburbs!" Funny stuff.

Yah, Flight Time and Big Easy are the team I want to win. That was just hilarious when they caught up to Mika & Canaan at the water slide and started saying "Damn, we're really high up" and "I wouldn't go down that slide, **** looks dangerous". classic

I have to say the Asian brother and sister from the previous season were not stupid, they were just incredibly annoying- especially when they were traveling in Asia and expected to win everything because they knew a few words in Chinese.

I don't get why they think stupid people are more entertaining for the show. Aren't their reasonably intelligent people who are also funny and exciting to watch?

I think the Poker girls, the gay brothers, and Flight Time/Big Easy make it to the final 3. The guys don't get stressed out and are good at tasks that don't require academics, and the other two teams are not terribly stupid or shy.

TAR usually has a good mix of smart/stupid, weak/athletic, calm/frantic, etc teams.

I think it's one of the best shows because everyone brings different skills. A couple seasons ago, the Hippies were really smart and calm, but not particularly athletic. They almost lost to a team of dumb, but likable and athletic guys and another team that was kinda middling at everything.
