With talk heating up of an A&M move to the SEC, this will be good for the Horns in WBB. Sad that this is the only way the horrible 0-11 losing streak will save Goestenkors.

But the good news is that this increases the chances for Texas to be the #3 team in the Big XII behind Baylor and Oklahoma!

A&M would be a major force in the SEC challenging Pat Summit's team for supremacy.

Big 12 as a whole is stronger in WBB.

IMO this would be bad for a&m basketball. There would be so many grueling matchups night in and night out that would force them to play a different brand of basketball. They out tough and out muscle a lot of big 12 teams, that wouldn't happen in the sec. I'm just not a fan of leaving an area where I'm poised to dominate for a while, to go to an area where I would have to fight to be second place with many other sec teams on the rise. I think that's why a former sec guy in coach Blair is against the move. He's been to a final four from That conference and he knows the landscape and also knows it's not suitable for his program...

I agree it's something that wouldn't be very good for the ag's women's basketball program, or their women's programs in general, and most won't be in favor of such a move. Then again the people pushing for, and making this decision are doing so for other reasons; it's doubtful they'll be influenced much by resistance from women's athletics.

All I can say is GO already. Conference realignment shouldn't be an issue EVERY year.

A&M president and AD obviously aren't thinking about the women's sports anyway. Whether it's good or bad for WBB doesn't matter. It's all about the money.

We will find out later today/tonight if the SEC has decided to accept aggy's application to enter the SEC.

A&M to the SEC may not happen right now, but I think it could still happen within the next few years, perhaps when a suitable second additional team is identified or when all the current contractual obligations are resolved.

Yeah, I expect aggy will be moving on as soon as they can. But it gives the Big 12 time to look for a decent replacement if the league does stay together. Norte Dame would be awesome but I am not sure that's realistic.

Right now, I don't have a favorite school I hope will be invited to take aggy's place.
