Technically I can't be. Fire away if you must, but this chick is talented. I'm man enough to say I like her stuff.

Then again, my chick friends are laughing at me. I'm holding my ground.
 
My husband likes her, mostly because she's a good songwriter. Or so he says. I don't know how someone so young can be jaded enough to be a good song writer. But Carole King was writing great songs in her teens, so who knows?

He also thinks she's hot. And he's not gay.
 
If you like her because she's hot, no you're not gay.

If you actually like her music, and listen to her CD, then yes you are gay (or a 12 year old girl).

You might as well buy that Hanna Montana CD you've had your eye on for some time now...
 
Just make sure you turn the radio down and stop singing when you pull up to the light at 12th and Chicon.
 
You can't compare Taylor Swift to Miley Cyrus.
There's nothing to compare.
Taylor Swift is a talented singer/songwriter/musician.
Miley Cyrus was created by the Disney empire, and will end up falling off the face of the earth (like Hilary Duff) or turning into a psycho (like Lindsay Lohan).
For Miley's sake, I hope its not the latter.
You don't have to like country music to give Taylor credit for having a gift.
 
When her first CD came out, she was just 16 and therefore a kid. She did however became officially hot on her 18th birthday.

And any comparison of her to Hanna Montana is just ****** up. She writes her own songs. She writes her own music. She plays her own instruments. She manages her own career. And you could not find any dirt on this girl if you pulled her out of a mud puddle. A great example for young girls to follow. As opposed to Hanna who does not do **** except to lip sync her way like a banshee through songs she does not even know the origins of, half of the time through a body double, and is well on her way to being a burned out rehab single mother of 3 by the time she hits 21.
 
Miley was a spoiled brat and a terror even before her show premiered. I can't even imagine what she's like now.

It's not a question of talent.

It's a question of demographic.

Both Taylor Swift and Hanna Montana are aimed directly at the pre-teen girl market...

Hanna Montana, yes.
Taylor Swift, no.

I have yet to see Taylor Swift's face on a lunchbox, pencil pouch, pajama set, paper party supply goods, etc. She is not "aimed" at tweens.

Do pre-teen girls like her? Sure. But Taylor Swift's popularity is far more widespread than that one demographic. It was country radio that made her popular in the first place, not some corny Disney Channel show.
 
Taylor Swift is NOT that hot. Her face is shaped kind of like an alien or someone from the Ming Dynasty. And I'm out on her music too.
 
I don't think Taylor Swift is that hot. I DO think she is one of the most talented songwriters that Nashville is letting on the air today.
 
I agree she is a very talented song writer and singer. I swear, though, every time I see her picture with those squinty eyes I think, "Ferret face."
