An article in today's Chronicle about aggy's suckage. Am I a bad person for rejoicing (at least a little bit) in their misery?

If the situation were reversed, we'd not get a shred of sympathy from that cult. So go ahead and enjoy the great dose of aggy misery we've been given. It's a beautiful thing!

They've retreated back into "Only bad fans criticize the team" mode. It's a refreshing change from "We're better than Texas but the media won't admit it" that they've been riding for the past season and a half.

If only Yeast hadn't blown those two calls last year aggy would have won every national title in every sport!

"aggy misery" Calling LonghornLawyer

What Texanne said. If the situations were reversed, they'd be reveling with koolaide so thick you could pour a driveway with it.

I really don't take any joy in the disappointment of the aggy athletes (I wish I could have been born with the athleticism of any of them), but I do take satisfaction in the misery of their fanbase. They truly deserve the hell they find themselves in.

Each and every time I want to begin feeling sorry for them as a collective I am reminded of their ability to be such lowlifes by so many. What sucks is that people like Prop Joe, AgEric and Ag friends of mine are not the problem. They too get hounded by their own.

I don't feel pity for them for so much as a second. I just keep offering the good ones my support and respect.

After nearly getting into a fight at the last Turkey Day game with one of the numerous "Cart McCoy" spouting jerks, if they expect anyone to feel sympathy for their aggy misery, they would be sadly mistaken. We may need to purchase aggy misery sunblock #50 for protection from basking in the intensely satisfying glow.

thanks for the kind words

i think rob childress has completely lost this team. they've given up, and i think they're just playing out the season to get it over with.

i dont know how long rob childress will be employed at A&M. the past two years have been pretty disappointing for aggie baseball.

It's sad when Eric and Prop Joe are in such a minority. They are a good reminder to me not to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Yep. They're welcome here anytime as far as I'm concerned...always bring well thought out comments to the table (often more so than some of the Horns here, and yes, that includes me.

"These articles come out year round every year..."

And therein lies the answer about A&M dominance in all things athletic. At least they have golf, track, and equestrian events.

I don't respect all the players. A&M has had some jackass athletes in recent years.

The ones who couldn't really go anywhere else, I feel somewhat sorry for them. It must suck to get there, look around, and realize that's the best you can do.

But for the ones who could've gone somewhere better and chose not to, I don't have much sympathy.

I used to not have such an extreme dislike for A&M fans, but the Cart McCry BS is what really broke the camel's back for me. The fact that grown men who have children Colt's age can sit around and make fun of him for getting injured has just given me a permanent distaste for almost everyone who roots for A&M.

The nicknames they had for VY and Jamaal Charles were racist and childish, but that's nothing new for A&M. It's sad, but that's who they are. Watching a kid suffer a neck injury, get wheeled off the field on a cart, and then proceeding to make fun of him for the next 3 years about it is inexcusable. They would go absolutely apoplectic if Jerrod Johnson had to be taken off the field with an injury and Texas fans made jokes at his expense about it.
