That and their new (planned) football stadium are just unbelievable. When I graduated from UT in '88 my first job was with TI in McKinney so my wife and I lived in Allen. There was NOTHING in Allen except a Walmart. Amazing the population explosion in that area.

TI was in McKinney? I had never heard that before. I live in McKinney, just curious.

In just a little over 20 years, the little town of Allen and the very little town of Frisco have exploded beyond antything I could imagine. It's crazy to think !I used to bird hunt all through that area.

Oh the memories of laying on the raft in my pool, beer in one hand, shooting dove with the other. Prosper, Texas 1997. Late eighties I used to go to a friends' in Frisco to tune and wrench on my Foxbody. We used Stonebrook Pkwy for 1/8 and 1/4 mile runs.

TI / McKinney is now Raytheon. On University, abt 2 miles west of hwy 75.

Raytheon purchased the Defense Electronics division of TI in ~1996, part of the sale was to move most of that division to the Lewisville and McKinney sites.

I was moved from the Forest Lane plant in 1995 to McKinney along w/ our entire group.....we didn't know why until we heard we were sold
