I am needing some suggestions on an upcoming trip early this fall. I am looking for a nice all inclusive resort in the Caribbean or Mexico. Something that is all adult, with white beaches and clear water. I have found the Royal Hideaway Playacar, has anyone stayed here? Thanks for any input!

we are going to Excellence Playa Mujeres May 10-17.

from my trip advisor research, it looks pretty damn good.

I've thought about going to an "all inclusive" resort but having never been to one, I'm really leary about what is included with the fee. What exactly are you paying for and what will cost you extra? I'm assuming there are different packages but I do not want to have this huge bill upon checkout.

you pay one price. there are not really different packages like that. an AI hotel charges a rate/night, for all-inclusive experience.

the websites will tell you exactly what you get, etc. If you look in to it, you'll find that your concern is not really something that you should be worried about.

Me and the wife are headed to the Iberostar Grand north of Playa in a few weeks. All the reviews on Trip Advisor say it's top notch and several folks who've been to Royal Hideaway say the Grand is better. I think the Royal Hideaway had lots of beach damage when that hurricane rolled through a few years ago.
