West Coast teams are all set to play in the South.
UC Irvine vs. Virginia in Charlottesbille, Va.
Stanford vs. North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC
Arizona State vs. Texas in Austin, Tx
Oregon State vs. Vandy in Nashville, Tenn
If Arizona beats Aggy they play FSU in Tallahassee. Fla
If they dont give Cal the regional and make them play in Dallas, Tx, there wont be a regional on the west coast and therefore no espn late game.
The way Baylor imploded in the 9th inning was really a train wreck. 2nd baseman lets a tailor-made double play ball go between his legs. Then after the next batter grounds into a FC at 2nd, they get a Cal runner caught between 3rd and home and botch the rundown with the runner safe at home. Truly an epic collapse with a golden opportunity to host a super regional.
Nontanative - the play by play call of the Cal announcer in the 9th inning was quite entertaining. It would be a worthy candidate for homer call of the week.
Cal dropped baseball, but alumni donations saved the program. Cal should not be rewarded with hosting a super regional when the university administration obviously does not support baseball.
DBU got hosed. They were working on a deal to use Quick-Trip by moving the AirHog's games, but DBU and the NCAA had issues with the liquor signs. DBU and Quick-Trip were working on this issue when the rug was pulled out from under them by the NCAA.
Don't worry about Ken Starr. I'm sure he and the rest of Baylor are still smiling from the double digit turd loaf they dropped into the mouth of our once great football team.
