Following from work all evening tonight.

Rangers went three up three down to start game.

Tigers got a lead off walk but the Harrison got a double play. 2 down in bottom of first.

David Murphy gets first hit of game for either side in top of third with one out double. But K and ground out end any threat.

Porcello for Detroit already has 5 K's and of his 40 pitches in the first three innings 32 were strikes.

This will be a long slug it out game and runs will be at a premium.

Tigers get a two out double that plates two and after three innings lead 2-0.

I cant shake a really bad feeling about this game.

Porcello continues to just bang the strike zone with 38 strikes out of 49 pitches thrown. Tigers shut down Rangers in fourth and still lead 2-0.

Napoli gets a one out hit in fifth but Cruz grounds into DP to end inning. 59 picthes only for Porcello and 46 strikes. Less than 12 picthes an inning, he is dominating. 2 runs may be enough to win this for the Tigers unless Rangers can wake up their bats.

Just as I despair of any Rangers offense, Murph with single, Kinsler with double and Andrus with single. Tie game 2-2 one out in top of sixth and Josh Hamilton up to bat with Elvis on first.

And Hamilton with a very deep flyout, so close to taking lead.

Elvis steals second and Michael Young picks perfect time to end his slump with RBI single. Amazingly after being dominated for five innings the Rangers have gotten to Porcello and now lead 3-2 through 5.5 innings.

Washington now has pen set up and brings in Ogando for the sixth and he gives up a leadoff walk to Cabrera but sets next three down in order. 3-2 Texas through six.

Set up for Ogando again in seventh, Adams in eighth and Feliz in ninth.

Nice to get some insurance runs though.

Rangers get two singles and a walk with two outs to load the bases and chase Porcello in the top of the seventh but Elvis grounds out to end inning. 3-2 Rangers through 6.5.

Ogando gets first two batters in the seventh inning but then gives up a left field solo shot to Inge in the nine hole, tie game 3-3.

Rangers go down in order in top of 8th though hamilton once again had a long fly ball out.

Adams on to pitch and interestingly an intentional walk to Cabrera with one down. Martinez follows with single that gets him to third, runners on corners with just one out.

Delmon Young flies out to right and the throw from Cruz nails Cabrera for third out.

8 full done 3-3.

Cruz draws walk but is later caught stealing to end inning. Rangers cant get anything going beyond that in the ninth. Darren Oliver on to pitch for Texas and he sets Tigers down in order, headed to extra innings tonight.

Feldman who had outstanding performance monday on to pitch the tenth for Texas.

He sets Tigers down in order, headed to the 11th.

CRUUUUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Three run shot for Nelson who saved the game in the 8th with his throw out at the plate and now gives Texas a 4 run lead in the 11th.

7-3 Texas.

Valverde is pitching his fifth inning in three days, looks like he finally hit the wall at the perfect time for Texas.

Coke on to pitch for Detroit and Gentry PH for Murphy and be defensive replacement in left. Gentry pops out and Torrealba grounds out to end inning but Texas gets 4 huge runs.

Feliz time to try and secure a 3-1 series lead.

Feliz, says no drama tonight and sets them down in order.

Rangers win.

3-1 series lead secured with second 11 inning win.

Unbelievable. Napoli and Nellie bring 'em home in the 11th and Feliz mows 'em down in the bottom of 11 (on just seven pitches). One win away from a return trip to the WS (never thought I'd say that as a long-suffering Rangers fan)! Hope C.J. can out duel Verlander tomorrow.

Uncanny similarities between games 2 and 4. 3-3 after nine. Nellie hits a 7th inning homer to tie it up in game 2 and makes a tremendous throw to home in 8th inning to preserve tie in game 4. Nellie hits a homer in 11th inning of both games to give Rangers a 7-3 lead/win. BIG win for the Rangers!

I don't watch pro baseball and have not for years (since the last strike a long time ago) but I want to say that I am so happy for you Rangers fans. Very much so. I enjoy reading your threads like this and knowing that you are elated and giddy somewhere in front of a tv. Enjoy it all and I hope you win it all.

I have a friend who along with his father are fantastic and long time Rangers fans. Their record did not matter for their fandom never faltered. Bravo to them and all of you!

Wow, Napoli is nails. His throw to Kinsler to nail Jackson was HUGE. That inside pitch he fought off to drive in Hamilton for the lead run in the 11th was clutch. These are some amazing games. Would love to win the series on Thursday.
