Don't take the excursion trip to Fairbanks.

On the way up here, we took the ferry from Prince Rupert, BC to Haines, AK. It's gorgeous. We didn't get anywhere near Glacier Bay but we did get to see the Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau.

If I am not mistaken, I believe you have to be at least 70 years old to go.
