I'd have to stick the 1969 OL in that top ten for sure...........Consensus All-American Bob McKay at one tackle and ALL-SWC Bobby Wuensch at the the other..........Mitchell, Dean and Wiegand werent to shabby either!

My regency to the early 80’s is I’m from the panhandle, Amarillo! Those lines featured some small town programs. Rick Houston was from Abernathy and Brian Millard from Dumas. Millard had a heck of a pro career!

Funny story...to me anyway...I bought my very first truck from Mike at Covert Ford on 183 back in the early 90's. I was just a couple years into being a Texas fan as my girlfriend, now Mrs Vol Horn, was still a student. I really had no idea who he was, but while getting the deal done he reaches into his file cabinet and pulls out an autographed picture he wanted to give me. Not having a clue who he was I politely declined. He looked at me a little odd and put it back into the drawer. Now in retrospect I have a bookshelf of Longhorn memorabilia and kind of wish I would have taken it just to be nice. It'd be a pretty cool addition.
