Alabama jumps to #1 in ESPN's Recruiting Rankings

they picked up Amari Cooper and Cyrus Jones too, both 4 star recruits i believe.

if we can land DGB and maybe even ME, we'll retake #1

I could care less about the class ranking.... I just want results on the field. Hell the class could be 30th so long as the players produce and win and win often, I don't care.

Agree that rankings aren't all they're cracked up to be. After a 3rd, 2nd and 5th ranking respectively the last three years, we can see where that got us.

That's just ESiPN doing what they love to do do best, promoting all things au.
So glad we ain't in that suck conference.

I can remember a couple of recruiting family feuds in the past. One big one that we won - Thanks, Bob.

Another that was notable was Keith Jackson, Jackson was from Little Rock and loved Texas. His mother, however, was a died in the wool Razorback fan. Unfortunately, they compromised on OU and she took Barry's cash.

Clever use of 140 words.... just saw on Twitter. Re-tweet from Chip Brown:
Terrance Donnels @LSUFreek

Landon Collins' Mom insisted he should pick LSU, but his Bama girlfriend has a recruiting tool that is undefeated in the history of mankind.

Most services that provide rankings don't include juco players... Hookem.com/247Sports has ranked D. Hawkins & B. Moore and list them as solid 4-Star players because those have seen both of them play...

With their reputation for over signing and yanking scholly's I can't figure why 1). The NCAA isn't cracking down and more media exposing this unethical ways and 2) why any kid would go play for such a notorious *******

Each class usually comes down to the few players that come in ready to work thru the haze of the 1st yr, go to class and keep a positive team attitude while making the adjustment to faster/stronger competition. If we sign 28 then maybe 10-15 (if we're lucky) will make it thru the grind and be serious contributors. No way to tell ahead of time which of the 28 will be survivors or the talent levels they possess. You often lose seemingly obscenely talented players (Darius White, Jevon Snead, too many to name....) to grades, tranfers or attitude while marginally talented players survive the grind to start (Gideon, Kirkendoll, Gilbert...) Saban prevents being forced to start less talented upper classman by running them off after a couple yrs to make room for more highly talented recruits. Eventually most all the upper classman are keepers. Crappy way to treat players if they gave their best, but nothing wrong with running off the lazy or entitled

Do not be suprised if Florida and Florida State pass us in the ranking also. They always make a large jump at the end. The average star scores are both higher than ours.

Doesn't mean a thing. What we do with what we got will determine future MNC.
