Ahmad Dixon?

Does anyone know what is going on with Ahmad Dixon? Is he thinking of decommitting? Rivals now have him as a soft verbal and B.O.B. has an article($) up on the topic. Any insight?

Baylor is what I'm hearing. Briles is a good recruiter if he can start pulling kids from OU and UT. I bet this is mostly smoke, so I wouldn't start panicking.

If we were to have a kid decide to go elsewhere I would prefer it to be Baylor than aggy or ou. They would go to aggy to end their career, ou to be on probation. We'll see how this shakes out.

He is still committed to Texas as of now.

And, unlike other sites or fans, relax. First, remember that the VAST majority of recruiting rumors are FALSE. Second, even if this particular one is true, it doesn't mean that our coaches are not doing their job or that the program is going down the tubes.

Until they sign that LOI everything is a soft verbal. The only problem with an early commit is that we still have to put up with nine months of rumors.

Baylor may be making a push since that is his hometown and close to family . The fact it has been changed to a soft verbal is alarming though. Usually we have been fortunate in keeping most of our verbals in the past.

I think the chain of events, were Dixon to decommit, would be something like:

Dixon to Baylor
Haynes to Texas (currently mack hasn't offered)

From what I've been able to piece together, I say the odds of this happening as I've laid out are better than 50%.

No way, no how. No one ever chooses the baptist jr. high over the Longhorns in anything, from academics to checkers. Baylore is usually the last choice for those who do not make it into UT or some other state school.

As pointed out in another thread he is going to Baylor. I wish him the best as long as it doesn't adversely affect UT of course.
As pointed out we suspected this before announced just like we did with the Alabama player, McFarland and Scott and others. Once again Hornsfans was right on even though this is unfortunately. But we have a scholarship freed up for someone else though.
