Ags commit another no star!

His stats arent that bad, but why is he under the radar? I checked Texags and they are saying that recruiters and schools havent totally finished evaluations of athletes because there are too many schools in Texas.
Which one is it? Is he a diamond in the rough that has just gone unnoticed or is he just an honorable mention type out of a 4a district?

OLB Sean Porter. From what I've heard, he's probably a potential 2- or 3-star.
Has anyone seen this kid play? (Answer is probably "no").

Even is today's early offer environment, there are several legit players who are unknown in May of their junior year.
Me, I'm going to with hold judegment until I see some film.

Seems to me the kid from Euless Trinity was also a no star under the radar football player. Yet Texas saw enough of the kid to offer him.

He probably has potential.
My personal opinions:
He's not a 4.5 speed linebacker, so unfortunatly he'll be just another Ag committed leftover?
Three talented linebackers with 4.5 speed didn't sign with A&M's last class; you know that wild and talented A&M coaching staff and AD famous for 14 decommits in the last year?
Ut signed one of them, I believe.

Sherman is thinking why should i go after the good ones when if i sign them they will transfer anyways.
My personal opinions:
longhornfan, I recall 14 Ag decommits last year before signing day; I recall no transfers last year.
For them to be able to transfer, they first have to sign with A&M.
This Ag staff normally never makes it as far as signing them, with the four and five star players; you see, all 10 of the staffs' resumes show that they had only signed a total of 2 four star players in the previous 5 years? Can you believe that?
Recruiting by-passed this Ag staff and AD in the last century!

Let me also suggest that attacking the problem of $Bill hiring a Head Coach and a staff that can't relate to four and five star players would help A&M recruiting.
You see, the actual results for two recruting classes so far show that recruiting by-passed Sherman and his staff in the last century and this is 2008.
This is the problem that the football challenged 80+% need to attack.
Sorry to be the one to break this to you, but recruiting only leftover 2 and 3 stars mean we'll be watching a non BCS team losing the Big 12 every year for the next decade, just like we did the last decade.
Please help get recruiters to replace our present staff, now!

i don't understand it. you are ragging on them for signing a player that hasn't been rated by any of the services.
i applaud it.
it shows me the coach is doing his own work and doesn't give **** what jeremy crabtree, james hale, or ketch thinks. isn't that what you want? wouldn't you rather have mack brown judging the talent you are signing or some recruiting service?
do you want mel kiper picking for your team, or do you want your owner and coach?

There are lots of things to complain about TAMU recruiting so far in the 2009 class.
Numerous head to head losses with OU/UT. Losing Loston to an out-of-state also ran. The Lowe fiasco.
Calling them out for offering Porter, when you have zero idea of what the kid looks like on film, is just silly. Making an attack when none is warranted lessens the impact when you make an attack that is warranted.

Bundy, Sherman signing 25 leftover 2 and 3 star players will get A&M a top 25 recruiting class every yesr, fourth place in the Big 12 south, and a non BCS team to watch on Kyle Field!
Turgeon signing no 4 and 5 star basketball players this year, and his coaching will get A&M out of the NCAA's fast and the bottom half of Big 12.
I'm just sick of losing, and just sick of those Aggies and their AD and Coaches without the sports I.Q. or without the gonads to improve.
In the last two years, Fran set the bar at 9 wins with one field goal in the ou game giving us 10 wins, putting us in the champ game playing for a BCS bowl; and A&M at a top 5, 13 actual 4 and 5 star commit recruiting level.
In the last two years, BCG set the basketball bar at the final eight level.
Now, I see an AD who let 14 decommits dangle and did nothing but let negative recruiters have their way. This AD didn't say or take the actions he should have to stop this!
Now I see a Sherman and a Turgeon taking only 2 and 3 star leftovers because an AD didn't do a competant hiring job. A basketball coach and a football coach and an AD that recruiting and hiring by-passed in the last decade.
If they all three can't improve on Fran and BCG record this year, then we must replace them this year with results oriented personnel.
Going farther backward like we did in the last year in recruiting and coaching and ADing is not an option.
Your type of attitude lost us the last decade and your type of athletic department spin just sucks for an Aggie !
