Ags and Bears

I was thinking that even though we play them both twice, it would probably serve our strength of schedule better for a&m to beat Baylor, since the ags are ranked. Yes? No?

Well, it's moot now.

aggy is doing its best to prove that its strong start and subsequently lofty ranking were only
the result of playing a relatively weak non-conference schedule.

They'll still make the tournament courtesy of home wins over Mizzou and K-State, but they should consider themselves blessed those were at Reed.

Perish that thought! Dolla Bill is addressing that issue and surely got great results. Besides, the Ags were not getting blown out so their fickle fans stayed for the game.

i'm perfectly fine with atm tanking their season and not making the tourney. SOS is nice when you're trying to claw your way up in the rankings, but now that we're at no.3 all we have to do is win out to get the no.1 seed. we've played enough good teams that aggy is not relevant.

The problem with the Aggies is that they don't have a "go to" guy on that team. Other than Middleton, it looks like a lot of their players (BJ Holmes, Dash Harris, Loubeau, Turner) just haven't progressed from last year.

I think they'll finish 21-9 and will need to win at least 1 game in the Conference tourney to get in. Given that their opponent would be someone like KSt, OKSt, Neb or CU that isn't a given.

aggy is a lock right now to make tourny but they absolutely can play their way out if they throw out a 3-6 type run here in their last 9 games (including Big XII tourny). They are playing their way from a 3 or 4 down to a 9-10 type seed.

Aggy likes to schedule weak out of conference play. When they get to the conf play they are going to continue to have probelms.

Fine with em

Maybe aggy still has some of those "NIT Tournament" t-shirts left from a few years ago they could sell this year.
