Aggys is special

On the homepage for TexAgs is this poll:

Who wins an SEC Football title in least years from entry into the conference?

Arkansas (20 years+)
S Carolina (20 years+)
Texas A&M
Missouri
Kentucky/O Miss/Vandy

You would think that they would trip to the fact that the implications of their own poll are that it will be over 20 years from now. Not a chance. The results so far indicate A&M favored by 74%. I wish I could book their bets at those odds.

Look at it this way - they were irrelevant on the Big 12 football field so If they believe they can be relevant in the SEC in less than 20 years then the SEC is not what it appears to be.

You KNOW how important tradition is over there to our friends in B-CS... it is obvious one important tradition has not been lost to changing conference affiliation...

the aggy dream of living large in football - WHOOOOOP!

Since 1994, the Aggies have won one football conference Championship. 18 years and one conference title. Texas has had 5 in those same 18 years.

The SEC Champion is 5-1 in the last 6 BCS Championship Games (and the only loss was to the de facto SEC runner-up), so in order to win the SEC, you basically need to have a team that will win the BCS Championship. Texas A&M is coming off its first bowl win in ten years--the Meineke Car Care Bowl against 6-6 Northwestern--so it's going to be a while.

I kindly request that you change the thread title to read "Aggys is special....ed" LonghornDub. But that would be redundant....

My wife, the elementary school principal (retired), would place them more exactly as candidates for her adaptive behavior program.

Aggy didn't join the SEC to win the conference, they joined the SEC to get away from Texas. And thats all they are going to get over there.

The real question is, how many years before aggy is selling endzone seats for $1 to get people in the gate. I would say less than 20.

No mater what conference you are in, if you are a good team you are a good team. It just so happens that the SEC has had a run of good teams, that doesn't make the crappy SEC teams any better.

Aggy leaving after unable to compete with Texas for the last 100 years. aggy solution is to join the So Easy Conference and compete with small state schools. If aggy cannot win in this small state So Easy Conference they should simply give up football.
