Could be a huge meltdown at the school to our East tonight and/or tomorrow...

Scout's reporting Corey Thompson has flipped to LSU, Bralon Addison is on the verge of going to Oregon if he hasn't already and A&M commit Darion Monroe is deciding tomorrow between ASU, Tulane, aggie. Aggy has a new TU to contend with! Yikes...

Gigem247 now confirming Thompson has switched! Just stumbled onto this... I guess the $EC, $EC, $EC isn't much of a help after all. I feel for our friends to the East... not sure what I feel, but I feel!

Wow...ag decommit season is lasting a little longer than usual this year...looks like they'd better hope they bag TJ, to replace Addison. Sorry for our buddy Prop Joe, but the rest of aggy is sucking thick, black exhaust smoke right now. Checking out tex-ags tomorrow should be a blast...they'll be eating their own.

Our friends to the East still believe that HR (Hassan Ridgeway) will flip to them on signing day! I'm not a betting man but I will match someone for Mex Food at El Arroyo on 5th St. if that son of a gun flips! I for one hope that they are wrong...
 
It's got to be a really tough choice to think about putting yourself in collie station for 4 yrs.. I pity those who drink the maroon kool aid
 
i do have to eat some crow on this thread.

thompson doesnt surprise me. he's been flirting with LSU for a while. i think i even mentioned him as a possibility the last time i posted about our class.

addison is out of left field. his trip to oregon was supposed to be a "see the world" trip, and naively we all took him at his word. but i think chip kelly sold him on the possibility of getting PT at QB, and truthfully addison is the exact kind of athlete that oregon has had success with.

it was a bad sign when he was silent after his trip there (he's been vocal after just about every trip), and an even worse sign when trey williams and matt davis indicated they couldnt reach him either.

losing addison hurts because he was committed to us for a while. losing thompson hurts because we need a hard hitting safety.

but who can blame them? it's not as if they're decomitting and going to kansas or something. they decommitted for two teams that are perennial bcs contenders.

A&M cant control the whims of 18 year olds, but we can certainly help ourselves out in these situations by winning more on the field. until we do that, sure we're going to be poached by schools because they have fodder by which to sell our recruits on. go to A&M and possibly win 9 games in a good year. come to our school and play in the bcs championship game.

and based on what i'm hearing about hassan, i think he sticks with his horn pledge, but it wouldnt surprise me to see him fax an LOI to college station on wednesday. i think he's telling the hrons what they want to hear...whether it's the truth or not remains to be seen.
 
lol and we just lost DB darion monroe to tulane. tulane. yes you read that right.

i gotta say, i've gone from being sad to laughing at the absurdity of it all.
 
it's odd because we're coming out even.

lose addison=get thomas johnson
lose thompson=get pope
lose monroe=get devante harris

it's just the timing of it all.

you'd think i'd be used to it by now.
 
Reading Texags has gotten me through an otherwise tough day.

It's so bad over there right now that they have 5-7 open slots and nobody (other than maybe TJ) to give them to. 20% of their recruiting class is empty the day before signing day.

This could get very, very ugly for ag. The domino - effect has begun. As with Daje commiting, I can't post much here right now, but this isn't the end of the recruiting fallout for ag
 
The funniest one was when D. Monroe switched to Tulane and somebody posted "UT strikes again". Then some aggy poster jon snow says "what the hell does texas have to do with this recruit choosing another school? idiot"

Hey H-D, if DGB doesn't commit to the good guys could this influence TJ to reconsider crawling back to us?
 
Like Desi Arnez, I could hear Mack saying "You got some 'splainin' to do" if Thomas Johnson gets in touch, but I seriously doubt that happens. That ship has sailed, but I suppose weirder things have happened on NSD.
