aggy buyout $9mil

I find it amusing how many fans of the cow college think the Big XII is "doomed" because they're leaving. Really? I mean...Really??? Two years ago, I wouldn't have given anybody a plugged nickel for the Big XII's chances of survival. Now??? I think that when everything shakes out, it is gonna be, competitively and interest-wise, one of the two strongest conferences. The other? I don't think it will be the SEC longterm...they weakened themselves with the additions of the two Big XII refugees.

At least we know who to blame. I wonder who at aggy and mizzou had pictures of Ken Starr? What an embarassment.

At least they are gone.

So, aggy is essentially paying the amount that the Big XII kicked in for WVU and Mizzou's money is gravy on top of adding TCU. We lose two also rans while gaining two recent BCS winners and cash.

Seems like a pretty good outcome, especially when factoring in the air freshener of getting rid of aggy.

Apparently they're paying the same amount that Nebraska did. I thought that after Neb. & Colo. left, the Big XII was going to make it much more expensive for a school to depart. What happened to 20 million (not that aggy could have come up with that amount)??

You know, if you read much of Epictetus, it's folly to worry about such **** as this.
For example....
The ship sunk.
What happend.
It sunk. Now move on.
It's outside your sphere.
You waste your life on that -- and call yourself a man?

For me, I like the idea they were the ones who broke the bond, ran off, and are having to pay for it. And that they will never again come to Austin to march on Congress Ave and play in this stadium, nor any of us make the drive to College State and have to walk into the giant tool box.

I call it a win. 'nuff said.

Missouri's and Texas A&M's price tags for leaving the Big 12 will be $12.41 million each, the conference announced on Tuesday.
